It is very similar in handle and appearance to bamboo as it is also a cellulose fibre. The main reason it is cheaper than Bamboo is that it is cheaper to produce. It has more "bounce" than silk, which makes the meander effect more pronounced than with silk. Ideal for both spinning and felting, it will add some lustre to your projects.
